Janice studied at SIUC before falling in love with her husband Dennis. While raising her two children, Heather and Gregg, she worked as a bookkeeper/accountant and a teacher's aide. Still, something was missing, and Janice was always looking to fulfill a void in her creative side. At the urging of her mother, Violet, she went along and took a painting class with her. Janice found her creative outlet that evening and eventually quit her job to paint full time. In 2005, her daughter asked her if she would want to work part-time at a frame shop in Palos Heights where she was also working at the time. "It's just a couple of days a week and it's fun. You'll love it, trust me!", Heather said. In 2006 the business went up for sale and the rest is history.
Heather ...studied everywhere before finding Harrington Institute of Interior Design. It was there she found her passion for art, color, and interiors. After college Heather worked for a few different furniture companies but it didn't seem to fit. A friend of hers told her about a frame shop she used to work at and that they were looking for part-time help. She went in, was hired, and fell in love. Not only with the shop but also with her favorite customer, Sy.
